Honda has officially unveiled its first electric motorcycle for Europe, the Honda WN7, the company’s first fully-electric motorcycle.
Honda has committed to achieving carbon neutrality across all products and operations by 2050, with the goal of making all motorcycle products carbon-neutral in the 2040s. As part of this effort, 2024 has been positioned as the first year of global expansion for its electric motorcycles.
The WN7, derived from the EV Fun Concept shown at EICMA 2024 in Milan, is the first production model in this strategy. The name WN7 reflects its philosophy, with “W” standing for the development theme “Be the Wind,” “N” denoting its naked styling, and “7” representing the output class.

Powering the WN7 is an 18kW (24.5hp) water-cooled motor that produces 100Nm of torque, delivering acceleration on par with much larger combustion motorcycles. While its horsepower figures are modest, Honda claims the torque is comparable to that of a 1000cc ICE motorcycle, offering an engaging and responsive riding experience. A smaller 11kW (15hp) version will also be sold in Europe for A1 licence holders.

The fixed lithium-ion battery delivers an estimated range of more than 130km (83 miles) per charge, and Honda has integrated both rapid and home charging solutions. Using a CCS2 charger, the WN7 can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes, while a 6kVA home wall-box charger can recharge the bike fully in under three hours.

Weighing 217kg, the WN7 combines performance with futuristic styling. Its slim, minimalist design reflects the freedom offered by electric architecture, while features such as a 5-inch TFT screen with Honda RoadSync integration, EV-specific menus, all-LED lighting, and a distinctive single-sided swingarm make it stand out in the segment. It will be available in gloss black with copper accents, matte black, and grey.
Honda has priced the WN7 at GBP 12,999, with deliveries expected to begin after its official debut and full specification reveal at EICMA 2025.
